Advancing WE in Policing (AWIP-ON)

Advancing WE in Policing Ontario (AWIP ON) is a collaborative, province-wide working group dedicated to transforming police culture through equity, belonging, safety and inclusion. Established in 2017, AWIP ON brings together sworn and civilian members from across Ontario to foster allyship & mentorship, provide training, and support systemic change. With the backing of leading policing organizations, AWIP ON works to create safe, healthy workplaces and strengthen public trust in policing. By partnering with 30Forward, OWLE, IAWP, the many police agencies, adding educational components, and building a provincial mentorship platform, greater awareness will occur and transformative culture change can happen for all.
